PITBULL

So the song that is on my blog right now is the one that Mason really wanted. It is Calle Ocho by Pitbull and it is his favorite. Every time we get in the car he hopes that it comes on the radio so he can hear it. His favorite part is when they count in Spanish. He wants so bad to learn Spanish. I just have to find someone up here that will teach it. I just thought I would explain the song because some people have asked me about it. This song is in honor of MASON.

LATELY

This past weekend Darren went with his brother scouting for elk and I went to my parents house. I didn't take any pictures but the last day we were there I took these of them outside. On our way to my parents house we went through Mesa to get Darren a suit for church and got gas and left toward my parents house about 6 pm. Well we got about a half hour when Chase started throwing up. We pulled over and had Mason buckle up and then put Chase in his car seat. Within 5 minutes of driving he throw up again. This time it went every where. Thank goodness it was in Darren's truck. So we finally got there and Chase was burning up. So the next morning we were going to just go home but Darren really wanted to go so I went ahead and went to my moms. Chase was sick but did do a little better. My brother Brandt and Becca and Addy came as well. Here is my dad watching Addy and Mason throw rocks at the cat on the road.
Mason said that it was some much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house playing with Addy was one of his favorite parts.

Chase found Mason's skate board and he thought that he was so cool and loved trying to ride it.

Just showing off his moves but not letting go of the couch.

Mason was watching Chase skate board being a good brother and sharing his toys. Just another quick up date for my journaling: Darren and I have starting taking a college class online through EAC called Nutrition. I am hoping to finish my generals if the classes I took up here will transfer. I am thinking of working toward nursing but just taking it slow. Since I have to stay home with the kids while Darren works. So we will see what happens.

SPAGETTI for DINNER

Chase has become a very pickey eater and so the other night I made spagetti and he started to eat and then wouldn't eat it. So I offered him the plate and he went at it.
I just thought that it was so funny but normal that they want the fork but use there hands. He got so mess and loved it. He did eat very well. But it seems that even if we let him feed himself other things he won't eat. So at least I have proof that he does eat somethings. I hate having the mess of food everywhere that I have a hard time letting him do it by himself. But this day I just didn't care. But he did get a bath as soon as he was done.

Kingman Arizona August 14, 2009

Darren and I went to the dentist in Kingman and we decided that we would spend the night there and enjoy staying the night spending time as a family. So we stayed in the Holiday Inn and it was very nice and had an indoor pool. Which at Kingman it was very windy and dusty so that was very nice to be able to swim all night long. We went to a store called Beals Outlet and Mason bought a bow & arrow. Which it broke by that night. Here is Mason and Chase enjoying the hotel.Mason trying to figure out the bow. Chase walking around with the remote.
Mason wanted to go bowling and so we decided to see if we could find a bowling alley and they had one. So that was the best part of the trip for Mason he said.
Chase of course had to ride in the stroller and he hated it. We finally got him out and he ran right onto the lane. So then when I took him away he started to through a tantrum so we had to end the bowling. But Mason was able to play against mom, and dad. Then Mason played a game by himself because he hated waiting for his turn.
Here is a picture of Chase cheering everybody on.

Here is the 3 boys in the pool. We would go swimming until Chase would freak out and then go back to the room. We did this all night long. But Mason had a blast and wanted to stay there forever. Then the next morning they had a warm breakfast buffet and so we ate breakfast and then waited for the pool to open up. We then swam for 30 minutes and then got showered and then headed home. It was a fun little vacation that we all needed.

1ST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

Mason on the first day of preschool. When he smiles he shuts his eyes so we have to tell him to keep his eyes open and this is what came out. He was so excited to go today. It is Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:45-11:30. It is at the Flip City Gymnastics so they do school work, a craft, and then Gymnastics, Mason's favorite part.
Mason wanted Chase to be in the picture and as you can tell Chase did not want to. When Chase does not want to do something he will let you know it by throwing a tantrom. When we dropped Mason off Chase waved bye to his brother and on the way home he kept saying,"OH". He new something was different. We know that it is just preschool and that everyone goes but somethings inside of us was sad to know that our little baby was getting older. This is good for him and me. He needs to get out and get more social because at home he gets bord alot more. So now instead of playing that he is going to school he actually gets to go. Hopefully he will enjoy it.

THE GRAND CANYON

Darren and I thought that since we lived so close to the Grand Canyon and Me and the kids have never been that his last day off on Firday 8-7-09 we would go.
Here is Darren and Chase walking in the nice green grass. Chase loves to walk and was freaking out in the stroller so we took and a break and let him get some energy out.

Here is Mason getting sworn into the JR. RANGER PROGRAM! He had to say a little speach on protection the wildlife and taking care of the forest. He thought that it was so cool. They gave him a work book to do while at the Grand Canyon. He was in the Raven group.

One of the things he had to do was attend story time. Which he was excited to do. We were ready to leave but waited around for the story time so that he could earn the badge.

Lestin very careful because they were going to be playing a game and they needed to listen to how to play.

The HOPI house. It is a gift shop inside. We weren't able to go inside because of the stroller and the kids would maybe break stuff. They had alot of neat things to look at. While we were eating our lunch we were just sitting on these benches when all of a sudden a Chipmunk came and took our pretzel. Mason started to cry because he got that for himself. We are laughing because we can't believe that things took the whole big pretzel. We then were going to take a picture when we realized we left our camera in the car when we changed strollers. Mason then calmed down and said,"He probably had to feed his family."

Family shot -

This was the lodge they had that the kids loved swinging on the swing. Chase especially loved it, he would laugh the whole time.

It was very windy and Mason hates the wind so he had to wear his jacket because he thought it was cold.
What a nice view!

This bird is a California Condor which usually is only flying never just sitting there. The Rangers said," that it is unusal for the bird to just sit there for an hour." So that was neat.

Shot of the boys!

This was a different stop along the way that we looked at. This stop made me a little nervous because the fence wasn't the best to keep you from falling under.

This was in Tusayan where they have the IMAX THEATER that shows all about the Grand Canyon. Mason thought this was so cool. The movie was good expect the kids only lasted a little bit. We paid 26 dollars to see the movie and then saw that you can buy it for 30. Oh well in the movie you felt like you were there. Over all it was a fun day. We want to go back so we can look around more and then go to Bedrock if it will still be open when we go.

National Night Out with the Cops

Went to the annual National Night Out to meet the Police and we went to Cottonwoods one instead of clarkdale because they had this blow up slide, cottoncandy, popcorn, booths, and hamburgers. Mason enjoyed going up and down on the slide.
Here they are with the firedog- Mason wanted to see it but not with out his dad. They had a show of the k-9 dog attacking a person and a swat team taking down bad guys. That was so awesome they had the guys in the run away car fire shot guns and throw a bomb. It was cool to see that. Just a side note: Mason saw someones balloon fly away and Mason said," Look that balloon is going to see Heavenly Father."

Darren's Last Day OFF

We got out the SLIP- N- SLIDE because Mason kept saying he wanted to try it again.
Sure enough he was brave and Chase just loves the water hitting him in the face and playing with it.

Then we went to PRESCOTT to the FREEDOM STATION where it is a Goofy Golf and arcade games.

A shot of the golfers. Darren is very good that he likes the compition just to show that he is good.

They had BUMPER CARS and Mason wanted to do it but when he got off he said," I don't want to do that again. I didn't like being hit." We had a lot of fun and we enjoy it when Darren is off so we can do things that we don't usually get to do.
