WASHINGTON

We went to Washington and Oregon on June 4 2010. Darren's brother Brandon and Amanda had just had a baby girl named Ella that we went to see get blessed along with Darren's parents. Here are the boys waiting for the airplanes. They were so excited to fly. This lady was making balloon animals and she gave Chase a dog and Mason got Spiderman.
On the plane before it really started and Chase was actually sitting still.
When we made it to Washington it had just finished raining and so they all put on hats and Chase ended up in LOVE with his hat. This was taken about 7:30pm. It amazed us how long the days are.

We went to the TILLAMOOK Cheese factory and sampled cheese and Ice cream.

Doing the cheese part

mixing the cheese

Eating the ice cream which was very good.
We went to an Airplane museum

on our way to the beach we stopped for a photo

The water is like ice so people don't usually get in but Darren was not going to let it stop him so he went in and froze of course

So the boys wanted to try it and they lasted a little bit but then they were very cold

Dress up never hurt anyone

We went to a fish hatchery

Then we went to see some amazing water falls and it was a little bit of a hike and we had no stroller and found out that you could reserve a wheel chair and so we did that. Chase loved the chair and didn't wait to give it back.

Portland Oregon behind Darren

being silly

This is the submarine that they took a tour on but this is when we were waiting for the jet boat ride

We then went to Omsi which is like a science museum. This is a space shuttle

Before we knew it, it was time to go. This is a face of Chase that alot of people saw multiple times.
We really enjoyed ourselves and are glad that we got to go. Mason talks about how he got to fly in an airplane to see his cousins. Thanks to everybody for putting up with fussy Chase! We will always remember this trip. They had such nice weather while we were there. It only rained on Sunday and then just cool temps with an overcast at times.

He will be looking like this more often....

Darren has gotten a new calling in the church that will require him to dress like this more often. What is it you ask...... The 2nd counsler in the bishopric, with Dave Gordon as bishop and Mike Gibson 1st counsler. This all happened right away for us. We knew that we would be getting a bishop on Sunday but during the week before church we hadn't heard anything. Then somethings came out and stuff. We went to Mesa for Mason's birthday and got home late friday night. Saturday the phone rings and it is a member of the stake presidency. So we knew right away what it was for. I was just shocked that they would take Darren out of being a High counsler and the Stake Youngmens President. Well the Stake President told us that he had a hard time with the decision to take him out but that he felt he should give the best to the wards. So we excepted and I cried ALOT. We are going to be out of town for the first Sunday that he will be in the bishopric but it might be alot harder to leave town now that he is in, so we will enjoy it. We are going to Washington to see Darren's brother and wife, Brandon & Amanda who just had their 3rd baby which was a girl. Mason is so excited that he gets to fly on an airplane. More to come on Washington:)

Birthday Fun!

We had a busy weekend on Mason's birthday! My cousin Aubrey & Thomas were getting married so Mason wanted to stay in a hotel and celebrate with swimming, eating pizza and having fun!

POOL TIME

PIZZA TIME

At Aubrey & Thomas's wedding they had a dance and we made Mason dance with Addy.
Then Mason and Chase started to dance there own way and they were trying to break dance and do all kinds of dancing which made us all laugh but they thought they were cool!

We told Mason the reception was like a big party for him!
