SAN DIEGO TEMPLE

IT IS SO AMAZING HOW THE TEMPLE IS BUILT RIGHT BY THE FREEWAY.

IT IS JUST HUGH AND AMAZING TO LOOK AT.

I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS AT NIGHT. I THINK THAT ALL TEMPLES LOOK AMAZING AT NIGHT. THIS ONE HAS JUST ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE TEMPLE SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL. I WENT THROUGH THE WALK THROUGH WHEN IT WAS BUILT AND STILL WANT TO GO INSIDE SOMETIME.
HERE IS OUR FAMILY OUT SIDE THE TEMPLE BUT THE WEREN'T ABLE TO GET ANY OF THE TEMPLE IN THE PICTURE.
THIS JUST SHOWS THAT FAMILIES ARE FOREVER! Chase is wanting to get down and run. We had an awesome vacation but are glad to be home.

SAN DIEGO FIRST DAY

Darren and I left wednesday at 11:30 am to get to Anthem to get hair cuts for the boys and then to get to my brothers house in Buckeye so we would have to leave really early on thursday. When we get about 45 min out of our house we come up on a fire that has just shut the freeway down. They tell us we have to go through Prescott, through Wickenburg. We have never gone that way so we did alittle shopping at the mall and then call 511 and they say the road is open to one lane. So we head back that way and get to Anthem at 4:30 and get hair cuts and leave. When firetrucks pass us and we get to the freeway again and there is a wreck that just happened and closed the freeway. We called our friends and they gave us back roads to take to Buckeye. Meanwhile our DVD player has broken and the kids can't watch a movie. By the time we get to my brother's house it is 8:30 pm. We are tired and have to leave by 5:30 am the next day. That was along drive that wasn't suppose to be that long. We were just hoping that the next day the kids would do good.My parents, Shane & Siboney-Remy, Natalia, Marissa, Brandt & Becca- Addy, Darren & I-Mason, Chase left Thurday morning to head to California. Tyler & Molli were in San Fransico and were flying to San Diego to meet up with us. We drove past the wind mills and that is when you know you are in California because they have these mills every where. We were meeting up with my Uncle Dale, Karen- Dallin, Shannon, Jake, who live in California. We were staying in Woodfin Suites off of Pacific drive. Close to Del Mar. We went at the wrong weekend because there was alot going on. But our main plan was to do the beach. And that is what we did.

A cool view from the bridge we crossed over.

Here is the bridge. On the way to the beach. That was the first thing we wanted to do when we got to San Diego was hit up the beach.

Mason was so excited to finally get to the beach.

We had gotten to our hotel and they weren't ready so we went to the beach and then changed into our swimming suits.

Chase loved it!!!

Eating lunch on grandma. He is always wanting to be around her.

He loved the birds that flew by, that he would always wave and point.

A little CRACK never hurt anyone. We then realized that he had both legs in one leg of the net part of the suit.

It is hard walking in the sand when you are still learning to walk.

Building the sand castles. When we got back to our rooms we were still sandy and so we went to the pool to get the sand off.

MASON doing one of his many tricks he has.

Darren and Chase getting ready to get in. The pool was cold and with the sun burns that we got it didn't feel to good. That is what happens with us white people who don't get out much. We burn. Darren and I both burnt our backs. My dad burnt his feet and legs that his feet swelled so much that he has been missing work. The sun burns all happened the first day of the trip. But it was still alot of fun that we don't regret any of it except not putting sun screen on the first day.

SAN DIEGO Part 1 SeaPort Village

Thurday night we went to Seaport Village!

Here we are taking a family shot! Some look happy and others are wondering why the photo.

We were just watching the birds when the man sat this on Mason's arm and he didn't know what to do. We thought that was so funny.

Just another shot not looking so suprised. Everybody got in on the fun.

Darren having the bigger one put on his arm. My cousin Jake did it along with Brandt. That was so funny with Darren the Parrot started to eat his hair and walk around. He was ready for the parrot to get off.

SAN DIEGO Part 1 SeaPort Village Balloon Man

Mason wanted the guy to make him a pirate. We had just watched the boy before us do the same thing.

Mason did everything the man told him to do. Even when the man said to hold onto your ears!

That is the gun and he already has the sword.

Watching and waiting for the Parrot to be made for his arm.

Now just waiting for the hat! And the finished look.........

He thought that this was the coolest thing ever.

This is suppose to be his mean face. Those balloons lasted the whole trip till we got home.

SAN DIEGO Part 2 BEACH

We love the beach and love Boogie boarding. This is a shot of Darren going out to catch some waves!

Chase and Grandpa playing in the water. Chase loved the water and wanted to crawl into the water and let it splash him. Mason is very different from Chase, Mason didn't want to go into the water he just wanted to stay where the waves would come to him.

This is me just waiting to get a wave. The salt water was bothering my eyes that I kept rubbing them. I did ride the wave to the shore and Darren missed the picture. Darren was on the shore Skim Surfing. He ended up hurting his toe pretty bad.

Mason and Remy getting water for the sand castle they were building.

That truck in the picture is the truck that Mason fell on and cute his face up. I don't know how he did it but it happened. Here he is acting goofy.

Natalia and Mason digging away. They had alot of fun but got very dirty!

Chase and Addy playing nice. The little kids loved the SAND!

Chase eating the sand. He did not like it at all.

He would dig and then the sand would fall off or he would through it around. He then started to cover his legs and thought thatwas funny!

Covering Mason's feet and legs. Natalia was doing it for Mason. He wanted her to cover his body but when your little you get tired fast! That was about as much that got done.

We went to where there was crawdads and thanks to MOLLI, Mason was able to bring some to use. Mason didn't want to touch them.

Here is our camp out for the day. It was nice to be in the sun or then get under the shade. The kids were where we could see them in the water and in the sand. It worked out good.

Darren hanging out on the sand watching the others out boogie boarding. He had just hurt his toe here and so he could hardly walk.

Chase loves my mom and always is wanting to be with her and have her hold him. He wants nothing to do with Darren or I if she is around.

Picture of the toe Day one. The next couple of days it got alot more purple and black. He couldn't hardly walk either.

SAN DIEGO Part 2 Dinner

We all went out to Dinner in La JOLLA- Mexican food- It was so yummy and here is the picture of everyone.
They make guacamole right in front of you and ask how hot you want it and chunky or smooth. IT WAS AMAZING! Chase fell asleep on the way to the restuarant so I had to hold him awhile.

Lovely Mason waiting for the food!

My uncle had told them that it was Darrens birthday and so they came to sing to him. Darren had no idea and he said," when I heard them coming I thought this can't be for me". But it was!

This was the only celebrating we did for his birthday. I think that it was nice for him to see that we were all thinking of him for his birthday. Even though we didn't do much.

SAN DIEGO PART 3 Sea World

Sea World was alot of fun! Addy, Mason and Chase waiting for their DAD'S come back from the ride called the Artic.
My mom and I took the 3 little kids inside to see the polar bears. They loved watching the bears play around. It was so cold inside that they made it feel like you were inside the polar bears cave.
This bear was playing with a laundry basket. Only if the basket could entertain my kids.

Waiting for the Dolphin show to start. Brandt, Becca, Addy, Darren, Chase, Mason, Grandma & Grandpa Norton waiting in the HOT sun.

Smile from the Dolphins. I didn't remember this show from when I went on my honeymoon, but Darren remembered it. This show has a family sitting on the side that gets to help feed the dolphins and they introduced them and the Mom misses the bench. So they start making fun of her and then they have the little boy come to feed the dolphins and the parts walk up to watch. Well the Mom falls into the water screaming and yelling. I am in shock that she fell in. My mom is yelling grab the glass. Then at the end they announce that she was part of the show. It scared me and my mom to death.

One of the tricks that the dolphins can do is JUMP high up!

From the dolphin show we went to PETS RULE! The boys like seeing the dogs running around.

Then we went to see the famous SHAMU! This was right at 12:00 and so Chase was tried and missed the whole show. But is was so HOT and sunny that we were trying to keep him from getting sun burned.
I just think that it is so cool how high she can jump and the tricks they do.

The show BELIEVE was really good. Mason thought that this was AWESOME! He really enjoyed Shamu!

The next the best show was the OTTERS! Here is our little family going inside!

This was new to us. While we waited for the show to start they had this guys who's name was BIFF do magic and funny stuff. This part he is looking at the Tv guide book and has a TV that he flipps through different show and they dresses up like them and dances & sings. He did High School Musical, Save by the Bell, Mash, the Smurfs every thing that you could think of he did. it was a good way to start the show.

Chase watching the show. He was tired and ready to leave.

Mason watching the show. He was hot and kept telling us this is a cool show but I am too Hot to watch.
One of the scenes from the show. It is so neat to watch the different things that Sea World can teach the animals to do and when to do them. I think that we all had a good time.

This was a fun ride we were able to go on, thanks to our parents for taking our kids to the kid rides while we waited in line for 45 minutes to ride. We got wet on it and that was nice because it was so hot! It was alot of fun that we were glad for the wait in line.
