Sick Kids

Mason and Chase have been sick for most of the week. It started Tuesday with Chase getting a dry cough and fever. Then Wednesday Mason woke up with a cough and fever. Chases cough just kept getting worse while Mason's cough started to turn more mucus sounding. They all ran fevers all day Wednesday. The next day on Thursday we were to go to the zoo with the Sparks. Darren's brother Cameron and his family came down from Oregon and then Garrett and his family and Darren's Parents were the only one that could make it that day. We weren't going to go because our kids had fevers still and a cough. We then decided that they can be sick at home or be sick outside, so we packed the Tylenol and left for the zoo. (Mason was so excited to go to the zoo. He was not happy that he woke up still sick. When we told him we were going to go he was so excited.) When we got to the zoo we decided to call the Dr and make an appointment for the boys for the next day just because we didn't want to go through the weekend and things keep getting worse.(we don't have insurance.) We had a lot of fun at the zoo. Mason enjoyed seeing his cousins that he doesn't see very often and seeing the animals. He also loved riding on the bike that grandma and grandpa rented. It was a day that we won't forget.
Today we had the Dr apt at 8:30 am and Chase woke up with a fever but the cough was sounding better. Mason also was sounding better. So I felt that I was wasting our money taking them in to the Dr. But when we got there Chase had 2 ear infections and starting to get pink eye (for the 2ND time this year) and Mason was good but getting pink eye as well (2Nd time this year). I am just thankful for leaving with just the 2 ear infections and pink eye, while next door the patient was having to go to the emergency room for her baby with RSV.
I am just glad that the week is over and the weekend is here. I hope that this next week to come is a better week with healthy kids.

Starting to get the hang of it

I am finally getting the hang of the blog. I am going to try to do this blog so that I can keep up with what the boys are doing for myself and the future.
The last couple of days have been so windy here that tumble weeds are out of control. On Sunday I took a picture of them because we couldn't even cross the road. Where we live the housing development went bankrupt so we have a bunch of empty lots which contain tumble weeds.
So today Mason and I tried to pick them up from our yard and dump them in the trash but there was to much. So we did the best we could while Chase sat in his car eating rocks. Yummm! I had alot of extra apples so Mason and I made an Apple Crisp today. He helped peel the apples because he said he could do it better, he also mixed the topping. Chase crawled out the front door and started crawling down the drive way before I could get him. Now they are both asleep and the house is so quiet I LOVE IT!

Better Late than Never

We thought that we should have a blog so that all our family could stay in touch, and now we finally did it. Chase is almost a year old on april 14 and so we thought that we should get it done. So I guess better late than never.
