We went on a big family Vacation to Carlsbad California on Tuesday 6/24-6/28. It was fun to see all our cousins, aunts, uncles, and Grandma & Grandpa Norton. When we first got to California we went to the beach. The kids loved it and Mason loved to boogie board. Trey didn't like the water as much as he liked walking around and playing in the sand. Shaley ended up liking the water and just being able to do what ever she wanted to. Then next day we went to Lego Land. It was so busy since it was summer. We made the best of it and the boys had fun. Then the following day we did Lego Land and the Water park. Funny store now: Darren took the boys down the water slide and so Mason went first, then Chase, and then Darren. We all saw Mason in the pool after the slide but no sign of Chase. Darren comes over and still no sign. We search the pool and look everywhere. I think the poor kid is probably crying somewhere since he is afraid of getting lost. We get a lifegueard to help us look and eventually we find him about to go down the waterslide again. That was surprising since he has been afraid of the water. He has been taking swim lessons with a man in the neighborhood who has gotten Chase not as afraid as he has been in the past. So things are starting to look up for Chase. We enjoyed our Vacation but know that it will be a whole lot funner when the twins are bigger. LEAST WE MADE MEMORIES!
