I am needed to get the blog printed for the year 2012 and thought let me recap some of things that happened in the past year.
Darren and I as parents have learned to handle the twins. (or so we think) At the beginning of 2012 they were just a few months old and I wasn't sure how things would go. But believe it or not things just happen and somehow we are now 14 months into parenting twins and 2 older boys and we are Surviving. The older boys try our patients right down to the little ones. (Some days our house is just like a Zoo.)
Darren decided that he wanted to do a different job. That ment that we would have to move away from the town we called our home for almost 10years. Luckly we were moving closer to family but the sad parts was we were leaving the people who we called family and had help us through out everything that we had been through. Darren sold his truck to get a more gas friendly car. The move happened the end of May. Right before the move we had been playing a trip to Disney Land with Darrens parents that ended up falling on the weekend of the big move. We somehow were able to get most of everything done before we left for California. We were even lucky to get our house rented out so soon. One of the reasons we had to move out so soon. Since we were moving Darren got released from his church calling as the Second Counselor in the bishopric. Now he is teaching 16 yr old Sunday School. Darren has been enjoying his new job and we all like the extra days off he gets and that he gets Saturdays off.
I get the opportunity to stay home with the kids. There is many days I wish I had a job rather than staying home with the kids. I know that it is better for the kids to have me home with them and lets face it, I don't have an eduaction. So I am the choosen one. Not too much has happened for me. We did have to live with my parents in the summer while we waited our house to finished from being built. It was suppose to be done the end of June. But new homes take longer and this one really did. Not getting finished until the first week of August. (School started Aug.8, we had a few days to adjust). I have met a friend that has 3 kids that our the same ages as our kids so we have been doing lots of stuff with them. So that has been nice to have someone in the same neighborhood with kids to play with my kids.
Mason- he had a great school year in Clarkdale. He got over 100 reading points earning him a T-shirt and he got to go out with his school teacher and get DQ. He got to play Soccer and Baseball. Mason is our sports boy so of course he loved playing them and did really well. We had to move during the baseball season but the coaches were nice enough to let him come back for the last game and play. They won the game and so that left their team to be undefeated. Mason started a new school and is in the Second Grade. He hasn't been able to play any sports yet but we were able to sign him up for baseball this year. Mason's new found love is Tether Ball. He saved his money and bought one for the back yard. He plays that everyday. Mason also is now going to be in the Senior primary classes now. He patiently awaits his 8 year birthday for that is when he gets to get baptized.
Chase- he enjoyed preschool and playing with his friends. He was also sad to hear about us moving and leaving his friends behind. Since the move some of his friends have moved also and Chase has made a new friend here Carter. Chase goes to a new preschool at someones house and likes it ok. To him it is not a school when it is in your house. He did get tubes put in again in June. Since they were going to be doing the tubes again we decided to have them take his tonsils/adnoids out also. Chase has been a good helper with the twins. He likes to talk in Spanish and he speaks his own Spanish. He also likes to serve people and he makes sure you know that he is doing a services. He is one funny kid. Chase is now in CTR 4 in primary and he tells us all that he is big now that he is in CTR 4. He can do so much more because he is almost 5 and because he is in the big classes now. We have signed him up to play TBALL this year. Hoping that we can get him in soccer some time also when they have it.
Trey has come a long ways this past year. He got RSV and was in the hospital for almost a week. We thought that he might have some major problems because he would not look you in the eyes or really even try to communicate with you. Come to find out he was just really sick. Once he was feeling better he became a new little boy. He is still a fussy one but he is developing well. He has all 8 front teeth and 4 molars. He is walking every where now to the point of just about running. He likes to pick on his sister alot. When he smiles he has a big nice smile.
Shaley has been growing but just alot slower than Trey. She did crawl before him but that is about all. She has 8 front teeth and 1 molar. But today as I write this she is getting the other 3 molars. Shaley is more tiny and has very small feet. She is not walking yet but starting to walk along the couches. She is our biter so we are trying to stop that habit before it is too bad. She also won't let me put flowers or anything of that matter in her hair. We did get her ears pierced when she was 4 months old. She is our blabber mouth. She loves to jabber and talk to you on the phone. She can wave and say HI.
We are all doing well and look forward to what 2013 has to offer for our family.
