Playing at Grandma & Grandpa Norton's

My mom had planned lots of things to do for the kids while the dad's were all gone hunting and so one of the things they did was frost and decorate sugar cookies. Mason really decorated his with tons of skittles and candy . It took him awhile to make it because he did it really careful but it ended up looking like he just took a handfull of candy and put it on the cookie.

On Saturday we went out to my grandparents house and rode on Shanes 3 wheeler. Chase loved it and he didn't want to get off.

Chase just walking around with Natalia and just having fun.

Mason learned how to play checkers and lots of other games. He really enjoyed playing with Remy.

Chase was by himself alot playing because he is the only boy his age. Marissa is 2 months older than him but she talks and acts like an adult. So Chase would try to follow Mason and Remy around but Chase would always end up crying because they are to big to play with him. Chase had alot of fun in the dirt and playing with trucks.

Mason loved playing on the swing set. When there wasn't anything to do he would eventually end up on the swing set.

Chase really liked it as well but he had to have help. He didn't like to have someone hold him on the swings but he won't hold on either. So we made him stick to this.

We had alot of fun visiting my parents, my brothers and there families and playing with cousins. It isn't very often that we all get together so when we do we end up having alot fun.

DEER HUNT 2009

Darren, Shane, Brandt, and My Dad went Deer hunting this year up by my parents house. They went out Friday morning about 5:30 am on October 30, 2009, They were home by 10:00am with 2 deer. They both got 4 points which was a good size for them. Darren hadn't been deer hunting for awhile so it was nice for him to get a good one. These are the hunters Brnadt (who doesn't ever put in to hunt because he doesn't like it that much) Darren, My dad, and Shane.

We had to put the boys in the photo and I didn't really want them to get bloody from the deer so I said that I would hold Chase.

Darren was so Happy with his kill.

Once we got they got home and took the pictures, they went to work on cutting them up. Blood was dripping every where so Mason decided that he would clean up the mess. But I think that he got a little out of control.

Darren had alot of fun and was able to then spend Halloween night with us since they got the deer on friday. Funny story about the kill. My Dad and Darren went out together and my brothers went the other way. My dad saw the deer and shot 3 times and it went down but then they saw it jump up so Darren shot it and killed it. So Darren stayed to clean it out and my dad went on to find some more deer and my brothers. When they were on there way back to Darren 15 yards from him laid another Deer died shot at 3 times. So the Deer that my dad was shooting at did die but there was just another deer right by it that Darren shot and killed. So that is how they got both deer. I probably didn't tell it right but that was all I could remember from them telling the story.

HALLOWEEN 2009

We first started Halloween off with on Wednesday we went Tunk or Treating at the church. We usually don't go because they do it on Halloween and We always go Trick or Treating in the neighborhood because they block off the streets and provide candy and you just walk up and down to the houses. This is Mason just getting dressed and Chase was not so sure of the mask. Mason was a Ninja Turtle and Chase was a Pirate. Here they are suppose to be letting me take a picture and Chase was not wanting to do it so this is the best I got.

Then we went to my mom's house for the weekend and Had all the cousins there to celebrate Halloween. So we took a photo the best we could but Remy didn't want in the photo.

Here is our little family getting ready to go to the Halloween carnival they had at the park. Here again Chase is not wanting to take a photo. He didn't even want to put his clothes on but we made him.

Mason playing one of the games they had. You were given tokens when you got there to play the games and if you won you got to take your ticket and get a big candy bar otherwise you just got little candy. Mason loved playing the games and he won 6 games out of 9 so he was excited. They also had free hot dogs and nachos you could eat.

Mason said," He had alot of fun doing the carnival but he really wants to go Trick or Treating next year." I think that he just loves to say that and get the candy. We had alot of fun doing something different.

GETTING READY FOR HALLOWEEN

Mason wanted to decorate for Halloween and we don't have any decoration and I don't want to spend any money so we made are own. He loved making them and glueing them. He was so excited on what he made.

Mason was trying to put Chase in the photo with him but Chase wasn't wanting to stay so Mason just helped Chase stay.

On Friday Oct. 7 was Darren's day off and so we decided to carve pumpkins. Mason was excited to do that but he just did not want to put his hand inside the pumpkin because he didn't want to get them dirty and slimy. So he is just pretending to put his hand in for the photo.

But then Darren told him he was being like a girl so he thought about it for a while and then all of a sudden he stuck his hand in. So I had to hurry and took a picture because we weren't sure how long that would last. He told us he wanted to help get the seeds out so we could make pumpkin seeds.

He was waiting his turn to stick his hand in. (Yes he still hates to wear clothes but this time he had them on and took them off so they wouldn't get dirty)

This is the finished product. Mason took the camera and took the photos of the pumpkins and was very proud of himself. He got to help Darren do the pumpkins by drawing and even a little carving.

These are the funnest looking pumpkins but Mason thinks they are awesome and so that is all that matters.

We took them outside and Chase didn't know what to think. He kept looking a them and wondering what they were and he would take the tops off and he even tried laying on them.

We were able to sit Chase down and get a photo with Mason for Halloween 2009.

This year Mason asked us if he could be something different from last year because He was a pirate. He was a pirate in the same costume for 2 years because he just didn't grow to much. So this year he is going to be a Ninja Turtle because we got it last year for $3.00. Chase will now take over the pirate costume for this year. (The way things are going Chase will only be a pirate for one year.) Mason is also so excited to go Trick or Treating that he says things in his prayers that he will be able to go get candy from trick or treating and be a ninja turtle and not a pirate. He has such a good memory that he can remember everything from last year. So we hope that this year will add up to last years memories and be good ones for him. Happy Halloween!

WHAT IS NEW WITH CHASE

CHASE has discovered COOKIES! He is a big fan of them, that he goes to the cupboard that we keep them in and will cry by it trying to open it. So that we will give him one. (Since he doesn't talk to us.) Mason had a cookie as well and hurried and put it in his mouth before I could take a picture of him. I told them they had to sit down and eat them. So Chase sat down right where I handed him the cookie and then Mason went over to the wall and so Chase followed. Chase loves his big brother and does everything he does.

Chase wearing Mason's helmit while on his car. Mason had just finished riding his bike and laid down the helmit when Chase put it on and wanted to wear it.

Chase Loves to sit in the dump truck as a chair. This time he was playing with the stethoscope. He will wear it all around the house.

His eczema is getting bad that his diaper bothers him so he is always pulling it down and I just wanted a picture of his fat buns.

He is growing so fast these days. He is going to be 18 months on Oct 14 and He is not talking much at all but understands everything we say. He will blabber and scream but he just doesn't want anything to do with words. He weighs 30 lbs and is 33 inches tall. He loves to sleep with a blanket and a little pig. He loves music and has his own favorite songs that play on the radio that he will shout different things out when they come on. He loves to copy Mason alot and when Mason isn't nice, Chase will scream at him and then if there is no response, Chase will then try to bit him. Just to get his attention. Chase is changing everyday and we are enjoying his growths.

Working with Great Grandpa Howard

While we were in Duncan we would go out to my Grandma & Grandpas house to entertain the boys while my parents were working. So Mason wanted to help do yard work so my grandpa would find something for them to do.

Mason wanted to pet the horses but he was afraid to stand there by himself so my grandpa held him while he touched them.

Even Chase loved the horses and wanted to keep touching them. They had so much fun out at there house that when Mason would first wake up he wanted to go out and work.

CHUCK WICKS

I was at my moms house while Darren was elk hunting and we went to the Chuck Wicks concert in Safford. I look very goofy but I was so excited to get a photo with him.

These are the photos I took at the concert. It was really good but it was kinda loud at times and so it was hard to understand some of the words. My mom took me and my grandparents, while my dad stayed home with the boys. It was alot of fun and the Best part was when I took the picture with Chuck Wicks after the show by his tour bus.
