Remi's Baptism weekend

On Saturday 10-9-10 we went to St. Johns to see Cousin Remi get Baptized. It was a 3 1/2 hr drive for us and the kids did great! Chase told us everytime he needed to stop to go to the bathroom which was AWESOME!
At the baptizm Chase loved to sing the songs and kept telling us the whole time,"Remi get baptized." They had asked my grandpa Howard to talk on Baptizm and then they asked Darren to talk on the Holy Ghost. Mason was asked to say the closing prayer. We asked Mason if he would like to practice the prayer and he told us no. But when he gave the prayer it was really good and was about a couple of minutes long. Afterwards people told him he did a good job and did better than some adults do. Here is Shane and Remi- Remi is the oldest cousin and so it was good example for Mason and Chase to see there cousin get baptized.
Great Grandpa & Great Grandma Howard
Grandpa and Grandma Norton
The cousins- Remi's sisters and brother hadn't made it yet when we took the pictures

While we were in St. Johns we went to there park and it was really nice and green-

On the way to St. Johns there is a place you can stop and look at Dinosaur statues and then look at the petrified wood.

This one piece of petrified wood cost $1500.00 and then the shop that Mason wanted to buy something in had a sign that said you break it you bought it. So we had to keep Chase outside because he wouldn't let us hold him. Mason wanted to buy something and so Darren took him in first. Well he was in there for 15min and couldn't decide on what to get so then I took him in and he looked and looked and then saw a knife and I said no. We are at the petrified wood gift shop get some petrified wood. He didn't want to so I took him out to leave and Darren went in and told him that he had 10 seconds to get something and he chose 3 rocks that are blue which look like I found them in my yard and then shined them up. They were $5.00. Next time we are going to just get the souvenir that goes with the place we are stopped at and not let the kids go in to choose something because we ended up being there for 1 hour.
But over all the kids enjoyed the little time away and want to go back to visit.

Rain Rain We Want You To Stay

Today Right about 1pm when the second session of conference started it began to rain. This rain lasted all through conference and still has been raining. We let the boys go outside to watch it. But when you have boys that LOVE the water they can't just watch.......

They had alot of fun! When it was time to come in they were freezing and they didn't even care that they couldn't feel their toys anymore. Mason said," I wish that it would rain all the time so that we could play in it whenever." Towards the end when they were playing they started to get hit by hail which was pretty funny to watch them try to run from it.

I wanna be like you

The other day Mason woke up earlier than everybody else and came in our room and then was messing around in our closet. The next thing I know he is saying," I am ready for work". He loves his dad so much and just wants to be like him.

Timeout

We have finally found a place for Chase to do his timeout. I would try the stairs like I did to Mason when he was younger but Chase seemed to not be able to stay there. Mason has to go to a corner now when he goes to time out just so he is not seeing what we are doing. One day the boys were both fighting and so I stuck Mason in one corner and Chase in the other. I thought that Chase probably won't stay there but I am at least going to try. IT WORKED! HE STAYED! There are still times when we put him in timeout and he says sorry mommy right away but we have to tell him to go back to his corner and I will talk to him in a little bit. There has also been sometimes when Chase has done something wrong and he will put himself in his corner. He also is very quick to tell Mason to go to timeout.

Soccer Pictures

Today was pictures for soccer and here Mason is doing the pose........
Just wanted to put this up because they got the team picture with the coaches; Brian and then Cameron, Thomas, Spencer and Seth (back row) Front: Jaymee, Mason, Taylor.
They won the game today and Mason was so happy because the last game they got killed.

Silly Hats

My dad gave the boys these hats which are to big and funny looking but the boys seem to like them because they are adult hats.
Chase took a bowl and told me this was his new hat! He kept walking around with it on his head and he kept laughing thinking he was so funny.
As you see we have all different types of hats now in our house.

School photo day 9/15/10

This is what Mason wore for pictures and I wanted to snap one just incase the school ones don't turn out. I also wanted to just so how big he is getting.
