SAN DIEGO Part 2 Dinner

We all went out to Dinner in La JOLLA- Mexican food- It was so yummy and here is the picture of everyone.
They make guacamole right in front of you and ask how hot you want it and chunky or smooth. IT WAS AMAZING! Chase fell asleep on the way to the restuarant so I had to hold him awhile.

Lovely Mason waiting for the food!

My uncle had told them that it was Darrens birthday and so they came to sing to him. Darren had no idea and he said," when I heard them coming I thought this can't be for me". But it was!

This was the only celebrating we did for his birthday. I think that it was nice for him to see that we were all thinking of him for his birthday. Even though we didn't do much.

SAN DIEGO PART 3 Sea World

Sea World was alot of fun! Addy, Mason and Chase waiting for their DAD'S come back from the ride called the Artic.
My mom and I took the 3 little kids inside to see the polar bears. They loved watching the bears play around. It was so cold inside that they made it feel like you were inside the polar bears cave.
This bear was playing with a laundry basket. Only if the basket could entertain my kids.

Waiting for the Dolphin show to start. Brandt, Becca, Addy, Darren, Chase, Mason, Grandma & Grandpa Norton waiting in the HOT sun.

Smile from the Dolphins. I didn't remember this show from when I went on my honeymoon, but Darren remembered it. This show has a family sitting on the side that gets to help feed the dolphins and they introduced them and the Mom misses the bench. So they start making fun of her and then they have the little boy come to feed the dolphins and the parts walk up to watch. Well the Mom falls into the water screaming and yelling. I am in shock that she fell in. My mom is yelling grab the glass. Then at the end they announce that she was part of the show. It scared me and my mom to death.

One of the tricks that the dolphins can do is JUMP high up!

From the dolphin show we went to PETS RULE! The boys like seeing the dogs running around.

Then we went to see the famous SHAMU! This was right at 12:00 and so Chase was tried and missed the whole show. But is was so HOT and sunny that we were trying to keep him from getting sun burned.
I just think that it is so cool how high she can jump and the tricks they do.

The show BELIEVE was really good. Mason thought that this was AWESOME! He really enjoyed Shamu!

The next the best show was the OTTERS! Here is our little family going inside!

This was new to us. While we waited for the show to start they had this guys who's name was BIFF do magic and funny stuff. This part he is looking at the Tv guide book and has a TV that he flipps through different show and they dresses up like them and dances & sings. He did High School Musical, Save by the Bell, Mash, the Smurfs every thing that you could think of he did. it was a good way to start the show.

Chase watching the show. He was tired and ready to leave.

Mason watching the show. He was hot and kept telling us this is a cool show but I am too Hot to watch.
One of the scenes from the show. It is so neat to watch the different things that Sea World can teach the animals to do and when to do them. I think that we all had a good time.

This was a fun ride we were able to go on, thanks to our parents for taking our kids to the kid rides while we waited in line for 45 minutes to ride. We got wet on it and that was nice because it was so hot! It was alot of fun that we were glad for the wait in line.

DARREN'S BIRTHDAY!

We had just gotten home from our trip and it was Darren's birthday and his mom had come up to work at the store and brought him some stuff to do a cake. That was nice because we had no food and didn't do anything special on his birthday. We had done stuff on the trip but nothing on the actual day. He is 29 years old and it is hard to believe that next year he will be 30! Wow how time flys.

SWIM GOGGLES

Mason got these goggles to take with him to San Diego and so he has been wearing them everywhere.
He uses them to ride his bike so the dirt doesn't get in his eyes he says. He thinks that his bike is a motorcycle. We had a picture of Chase in the goggles but it got corrupted. He looked really cute in them because he is so chubby. We'll just have to try again.

SHOTS OF THE BOYS

Through out most of the day Chase is grabbing my leg and trying to get me to hold him. This shot was taken when I was trying to take Mason's picture in his swimming suit and Chase wanted to camera.
Mason wanted a picture of his swimming suit. I didn't want to buy one with spiderman on it because I don't like having character clothes, but he needed to have another one for our trip and it was cheap. So I gave in.
Here is Chase in his swim clothes. Which he doesn't like the jacket hood very much. But it is cute with the shark head.

I wanted to take a picture of his bottom because it is just so chubby and cute. It makes us just want to squeeze it. They had just taken their baths and were watching a show.

Chase and Mason have a hard time sharing but for some reason Chase wanted to share his banana with him. He did it twice so I hurried and got the camera and this is what I got. Chase thought that it was funny sharing with Mason. That every thime Mason would take a bite Chase would laugh. They fight alot but then there is times like this that they show that they really care for each other. I love them lots.

MASON'S SWIMMING LESSONS

This year we put Mason in swimming lesson to try to get him used to the water and not be afraid to go under or get his face in the water. (He loves to swim if you hold him or if he uses a floaty but he is getting old enough to start being brave.) So here they are learning to kick there legs.
He is suposed to be swimming and kicking he legs but he is just doing the arms. But He was in the three foot and had to go under water and blow bubbles before he started out, so we were very happy when he went under by himself, that we didn't care if he didn't learn to swim very well, we were just glad he accomplished one of his fears.

Learning to float, while they support there heads. He has a shark that they have to go find in the water and swim back to there spots and float, while being as still as they can so the sharks don't get them. But it looks like the shark got Mason.

On the last day they let them JUMP off the diving board if they wanted to. We didn't think that Mason would end up doing it. He told us the day before while watching the older kids going off the diving board that he was going to FLIP off. Then when it came down to it he said," I will just jump." Sure enough we was excited to go that he told the guy behind him," Don't help me I know what I am doing." Sure enough he ........... JUMPED!

When he landed he went on the teachers head. She said," Jumped to my hands." He just wanted to jump farther. He asked to jump one more time and we all said," you must jump to her hands." But sure enough he landed on her head. But she was all right and he had fun. He still can't swim on his own very well but we feel that he has accomplished alot in the 1 week that he had swim class. He nows wants to go under water all the time. So money well spent.

4TH OF JULY

This year we went with some friends the Wood family to the fairgrounds to watch the FIREWORKS. Earlier in the day I took the boys to the KID PARADE, and the CARNIVAL GAMES at the local park by our house. I had a hard time taking them by myself because I know that there is going to be lots of families and I am going by myself. But we went and MASON had fun. I forgot my camera,(I am still trying to remember to take it places). The best entry was a power wheels car, and on the side it said,"PRESIDENT OBAMA & FIRST LADY", It had the cutest black kids in the car, (they were only 2 years old). Mason then went off to play the Carnival games. I thought that it was $1.00 a ticket so I said,"$5.00 of tickets", well it was 4 for a $1.00 so we had a lot of tickets. There was about 8 games. So we did them all and you would get little toys that were 10 cents worth but If you got the Grande Prize you get a FREE Snow Cone. Mason won 3 FREE SNOW CONES. The last game he played the guys told him his was the first one to win a snow cone. That made him feel good. By this time we had been gone for 1 hour and Chase was bright red and we were hot so we went to get the Snow Cones and we still had 8 tickets left. Mason said,"THROW THOSE TICKETS AWAY AND LETS GET OUT OF HERE BECAUSE IT IS HOT!" So we found a family that didn't have very many that we gave them to them. I think that the morning was fun and it got us out of the house. We then got invited to go to Judy's house (Darren's sec.) to go swimming. So I remembered sun screen for the boys but forgot myself.......so I am one RED LOBSTER................ Then we waited for Darren to get off work. Then we went to the fireworks this year.
This is us waiting for the FIREWORKS too start................
Our friends every year go to the fairgrounds and take pie & ice cream while we wait for the fireworks to start at 8:55 pm. (Morgan, Mason, Victoria, Benson)

There is KYM with the Pie as Mason is waiting patiently for a PIECE. It was so nice that they invited us with them because we don't have family up here and never have family around us on 4th of July holiday so it is nice that they make us feel like family. They don't have family as well and up here everyone has family.

Alittle snap shot of the FIREWORKS ..................... While most of you enjoy the Fireworks we have one Son who hates the loud noises and the other one we weren't sure how he would do. We usually go some where in our truck so that it is not loud but can see them. But we went where they launch them. Here is the results of the night.....................

Mason had to have his ears pluged, while Chase LOVED them. He would point and OOOOH, AND AAAH! Mason wanted to leave after 5 minutes of them. All day he talked about the Fireworks and then the time came and he couldn't do it but he did watch. This picture made his eyes close. We were so close that the ash would hit us and sparks hit the stroller and legs. Over all it was fun but next year we will just do our truck so that we won't smell like smoke and be clean.
